This policy describes how Home Budget processes information needed to provide accounts, household workspaces, expenses, receipts, budgets and related application features.
Information you provide
This can include your name, email address, profile language and timezone, household memberships, expense and income information, budgets, uploaded receipt images and information you send when requesting support.
How information is used
Information is used to authenticate accounts, provide requested finance features, keep shared household access consistent, process editable AI/OCR suggestions, prevent abuse and maintain application security.
Shared households
Authorized household members can see finance information belonging to the shared workspace. Do not invite someone who should not have that access.
AI and service providers
When you request AI analysis, relevant input or receipt content can be sent to configured processing providers. Review sensitive information before submitting it.
Retention and security
Information is retained while needed for the service, legal obligations and security. Reasonable technical and organizational safeguards are used, but no online service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You can update profile information, household access and finance records through the application. Contact the site operator for account or privacy requests that cannot be completed in the interface.
